Launched New Indian Railways Portal of E-Ticketing On 7 July 2011

New style with same functional features, the New Indian Railways Portal https://www.indianrailways.gov.in have been launched on 7th July to reduce overhead of IRCTC website. Ms. Mamta Banerjee inaugurates this great portal, which is too much faster then IRCTC Portal.You will have to signup further for this portal, the IRCTC credentials won’t work.Choosing an E-Ticketing option when you fill the signup form and submitting the details, mail will be sending on your E-mail account to verify your mobile number through activation code sent on your mobile.This is still partially launched, user can register here and enjoy the active services.On 15 August it will launched completely and will be started working.

It’s being more easy now to get quick Tatkal ticket and agents are not included in this portal, only users likes us will able to login for E-ticketing.You would able to get railway ticket from Mobile also.You will have to download the m-ticket software on your mobile,The link will be given soon on this portal to download the software.If you have internet enabled mobile then easily can make railway reservation through mobile itself.

    Have you tried using the site or is it a press release the correspondent has simply copy pasted!
    I have tried to use the site since I heard the news almost two weeks and each time I have tried to register at the site I have simply failed!
    What fast…it does not even work and looks like is always under maintenance!
    What a fraud! IRCTC site works! and works very well!

    I had registered with the Site and you have to provide the Mobile number and Email Id, This is still in Maintenance and will be launched completely on 15 August.

    Thanks for your comment.I had registered , that’s why I took the screen shot of provided services, this is not a copy paste, whatever i have written in my blog, written base on my personal experience and research.
